This thing is amazing. Barely pulls 5amps on the highest setting(it's rated higher, but I've tested it several times), and blows super cold air. Little louder than I'd prefer, but the annoyance is easily overlooked by the performance.Turn the fan on low and you can barely hear it from 10 feet away. Wifi was easy to hook up and very convenient. Would buy again.

It has not worked properly since the day I had it it says there's a code of e8 all the time and it does not cool I have to keep turning it off but you just sit and starting to back up I need to repair man to come fix it

This Air Conditioner which is an 8000 BTU Window Unit That is WiFi capable works just fine in my Bedroom! The House that we have Lived in for More than 10 years is old and not insulated at all in the Walls with just a little bit of Cheap Insulation in the Attic! Not to Mention all the Drafts and Air Leaks around the Doors and Windows as well! So we Cool our house with 8 Window Units because the House was never outfitted with a Central Heating and Air Conditioning system! It's a Struggle in the Extreme Heat when it gets in the 90 Degree days and Above Here in North East Mississippi! But we manage to Cool our 3 Bedroom House with 9 Separate Window Units of Various Sizes Ranging from 5000 BTU's to 12000 BTU's to Cool this House! And they do a fairly good Job! It's Amazing that the Electric Bill isn't Higher than what it is! I am Happy with the Performance of all 8 of these Small AC Units! I am Especially Impressed with the One I put in my Bedroom! It is a Model # AEG08LZL1 Which is a 8000 BTU WiFi Compatable Smart Air Conditioner! I didn't realize that when I first Purchased it! And I had lost the Remote for this Wi-Fi Smart A/C! So I looked the Part up or a Replacement Remote I should say! And Luckily they were out of Stock! And they were like $25.99 plus Taxes, Shipping, and Handling! I looked up the Replacement Remote on General Electric's Website! But after I reached out to GE's Customer Support! The GE Representative said to me! Why don't you just Download the Comfort- GE Appliances App from the Playstore! And you will have a remote on your phone? And I was Amazed at how easy the App Paired up with the AC Unit and How easy it was to Control from my Cellphone! So that GE Customer Support Representative Saved me some money because I was going to buy another Remote for sure! But now there is no need to get another Remote because the App does everything that the Remote did plus a lot more! I am Very Thankful that the GE Representative told me how to do that! That was Absolutely Awesome in my Book! The App also Calculates Energy Consumption along with other Things! I was Truly Impressed!

I do not recommend this air conditioner! I spent money that I do not have to waste on this unit! First off it is so loud that I can't hear anything anyone says when in the same room or my tv. I can live with that though I shouldn't have to. In Mississippi it is very humid and I'm not sure if humidity is the problem but none of my other units do this and I've had window units for 30 years, but it sweats and drips water. It spits the water out into the room. The worst is when it rains. It makes a horrible noise and spits more water into the room. It's so bad that the unit has to be turned off until it stops raining and then it's still spits water until the water kind of clears out I guess. It is ridiculous that I spent this amount of money on a unit that is this bad! So I will never recommend or buy anything else GE!

I purchased this to assist my central unit and keep the cost of power as low as possible. It cools perfectly. 3 Fan Settings, and cooling settings, Econo Mode, Cooling (AC) and Fan. It also has WiFi for those who wish to use that feature. The unit once set will turn off the LED Display until you tap a button and it will light back up. It's a 115 Volt so it's perfect for anyone who don't have 220 available near a window. Very easy to install and set up. Took me about 45 minutes total to install and have it running as soon as installation was finished. Adding insulation panels to the side skirts to help keep the cooling in and hot air out is a breeze. Very happy with this Window AC. It cools my living room and kitchen as I needed it to. It actually exceeds my expectations. This is my second GE Window AC I have ever owned. The remote is perfect, I am familiar with GE Customer Service, they are outstanding as well.

This Air Conditioner has been great since day 1. I installation was easy, the app works just fine, and I'm able control my AC unit remotely from any location that has cellular coverage or Wi Fi. It has three fan settings and the High setting blows strong and very cold! It cools my apartment down very quickly. I would highly recommend this AC unit to other people.

The air conditioner shuts off/uses no power when the temperature isn't above your setting, so I have saved a ton of money as I'm not home most of the day. I do have two dogs at home though, so I can't let the house get too hot while I'm gone, and the WiFi and app assist with that.

installed this ac last summer it ran for approx 50 hrs removed and stored this winter reinstalled 3 weeks ago ran fine a few hours then completly froze up freon leak i guess

I only installed the a.c. today, so I'm holding a point off until I know how well it performs over, well, more than a few hours. Seemed surprisingly lighter than I expected, and I, a female in my 40s with negligible strength, was able to install it myself. I like the Eco feature and do not need the remote or wi-fi. Gotta keep the dogs relatively cool when I'm not home!

the AC works, which is great. I am disappointed in the functions for a 'smart AC' and dont personally think the 8,000 BTU provides more more power than a 5 or 6k BTU would.
its possible user error, but i dont like that there isnt much clairty on the sleep function, and that i cant use location assist and scheduling features in the app at the same time. i dont like that not only do i know what hours the sleep function runs for, that you cannot have it on energy saver and sleep mode at the same time. additionally, im disappointed there isnt something so simple as a timed power option. i thought that would have been a standard or even if no button, something in app to say run for X hours

The new AC cools great. It was an easy installation. The app was easy to setup and use. Front panel controls are intuitive and dim after a couple minutes, nice. It even has a remote control.

So I'm doing some remodeling and its clear I still need to get some mudding done but also needed something for this Texas heat. This thing is the best A/C I've bought. Well worth the money i spent. Cools the whole room down and comes with a good remote. I also have the cool GE app on my phone for the night to adjust it if i need to. I use that quite a bit and boy is this unit powerful. I keep it on low most times. Its not loud at all and you can feel the air a good 8 to 10 feet back even on low. If i need another one for a different room then I'm choosing this exact model because its the best I've had. I'm 100% satisfied with this one. It does the job with flying colors.

This a/c cools very well. Most of the time we don't need to run on maximum yet. A tad bit noisy but once you have it running for a bit you don't seem to notice. I wish the air vent had more directional options. Fits great in our window opening and easily installed. Going to buy another one.
